What is the advantage of paying for a shipping service rather than simply checking my bags?
Carrying heavy bags and bulky items to and from airports and waiting to check in and claim baggage is an inconvenience for any traveler. Intensified security measures that permit inspectors to hand check luggage and even break into locked bags add to the frustrations of a trip.  Luggagefree offers a luxurious, worry-free alternative.

Who is Luggagefree designed for?
Leisure, business and family travelers who wish to make travel as hassle free as possible. We are a perfect compliment to those traveling to cruise ships, children going to camp or back to school, and those simply looking to take the hassle out of air travel.

What's the benefit of Luggagefree over other shipping companies?
Luxury service. The difference is noticeable right from the start, as Luggagefree picks up right at your home or office at the specific time requested. Our local agent then wraps your baggage in our custom made plastic protective packaging and prepares it for forwarding. This is a marked departure from our competitors who make you wrap your own luggage and then wait for up to five hours for the pick up. Once your shipment is forwarded, Luggage Free tracks the shipment for you and personally notifies you when it has arrived via your choice of e-mail, phone or fax.

For international shipments, Luggage Free offers a simple, hassle free method to prepare for customs clearance on your behalf, and has a fully dedicated customs team to help you with any issues. This again, is a marked departure from our competitors who require loads of paperwork in advance of your trip. What's more, with service to over 110 countries worldwide, Luggage Free offers the greatest service area of any company in the industry.

Do you have any size or weight restrictions?
No, we will accept any size or weight. In fact, with many airlines imposing fees on oversized and overweight bags, many travelers can enjoy the Luggage Free service for almost the same price as an airline overage fee.

How soon before my trip do I need to contact you?
Beyond the shipping time of your shipment you can contact us up to 24 hours before your scheduled pick up. We also take reservations up to six months in advance.

Do I have to box my items or do anything else special?
No. With the exception of bikes, which need to be in an appropriate bike container or boxed, simply have your items ready as if you were carrying them to the airport yourself - Luggage Free will take care of the rest. Golf bags must be in an airline compatible case or cover, skis must be in an appropriate ski container, the same thing applies to boots and bindings. Even with these items however, you do not have to do anything beyond what you would do if you were checking the items yourself.
